At this point, we all know the smokey voiced starlet who crooned out "Cry Me A River". She's a jazz staple and a legend about persistence in hollywood. 

What we often forget is how funny she was, behind that cooly sexual exterior she was a shy and often very funny woman I love her take on the classic from Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate".

So today, with tongue in ... cheek, I choose Julie London's version of "Always True To You (In My Fashion)", as my, laugh a little, give a little, leave room for improvement, song for a, well okay then, go on and tell me I can't, no watch me soar, Thursday.

I'm also giving you Blossom Dearie's version, because I just adore it!
