Fiona Apple - "Across the Universe"

Chopin said: "Simplicity is the highest goal, achievable when you have overcome all difficulties. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art."

And so it is that we come back to the simple, the pure, and the true. One does not need a multitude of things to be happy. You only need to be happy with the things you have. Simplicity is knowing your own heart, and following it's light unto your path. 

So today, with words flowing out like rain, I choose Fiona Apple's delicate cover of the Beatles' "Across the Universe" as my, somewhere out there, let it be me, I am not longer beholden to your image of me, song for a, awash in contradictions, joy and sorrow in equal measure, Look to your own light to find it magnified in another Thursday.
